Dapo is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (FIET) UK, the FORMER Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE). He worked for a multi-national petroleum company in various capacities and countries before establishing Hilltop Engineering Systems and Hilltop Lighting Systems, in collaboration with his professional partners. He has skills in multi-discipline projects, project management and HSSE, having managed projects from concept to implementation in the oil/gas industry in both Africa and the Middle East.
Dapo was Chief Engineer of his asset team in the Upstream Company in the Middle East, and was involved in several challenging projects, including use of horizontal Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs) in water injection projects for reservoir pressure maintenance. He has the unique experience of working in both the Upstream and Downstream sectors of the petroleum industry. Earlier in his career, he became the Head of Environmental Department of the multi-national, where he developed a passion for HSSE. Later on in his career, he rose to become the General Manager HSSE, in the multi-national petroleum company’s operations in Africa, which at a stage covered 30 countries, where he was responsible for embedding HSSE excellence as a key factor for the company’s business success. Before going into the petroleum industry, ‘Dapo worked for an engineering consulting company where he was an Electrical Design Engineer, and also worked?as the Resident Engineer on a State Rural Electrification project for the company.
Eben Hini is a seasoned professional of over 30 years of active practice in diverse projects in the areas of project development, engineering, planning, feasibility studies, design, project management, material take-off and requisitioning, expediting and logistics, construction supervision, testing and commissioning of installations, resource planning and general HSE management. Eben has worked in the oil/gas industry within multi-disciplinary project teams, petrochemicals, and has experience in utilities and related industries including hydro, steam, gas and diesel power plants, with sound application of standby and UPS power systems.
He has worked on projects with various degrees of complexity across Africa, Middle East, Canada and Russia, and has successfully worked with multi-cultural global workforces on many challenging projects. He has been company specialist at numerous pre-shipment FATs and has actively worked with and coordinated vendor representatives during site pre-commissioning and commissioning of installations. He worked on major generating plants, electrical substations, overhead and underground power distribution, chemical and LNG plants, and oil and gas production facilities. Able to effectively apply international standards such as IEC, NEMA, ANSI and CSA in the selection of power generation, distribution, protection, and control equipment related to safe and reliable plant operation.
Eben has consistently played lead and project engineering /management roles both in electrical-specific projects, as well as within multi-discipline environment through the years and is a registered professional and chartered engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) Canada, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) (formally Institution of Electrical Engineers, IEE) UK, where he is a corporate member of the Institution. Some of the organizations Eben has worked with include Qatar Gas – Ras Laffan, Saudi International Petrochemical Company (SIPCHEM) – Jubail, Colt Engineering – Calgary, Sirte Oil Company – Bregga, Tri Ocean Engineering – Calgary; Nigeria LNG – Bonny, Shell-Nigeria and Volta River Authority, amongst others.
Ayoade Awoyemi is a professional engineer, with more than 30yrs experience in Fire and Safety Engineering, Operational & Process Safety, Environmental Protection, Occupational Health, Security Management, Learning and Development across the oil/gas industry (Upstream and Downstream), and in the marine industry as well. He started his professional career with the Kaduna NNPC Refinery, where he was a Safety Engineer, and later did a Master’s degree in Fire Safety Engineering in the UK.
Ayo subsequently joined Shell-Nigeria as a Fire Officer, later becoming the Head of Fire Operations (Fire Chief) responsible for its Western Division. He was transferred to Shell UK (Expro), where he first worked as a Senior Safety Engineer responsible for the active fire protection of its offshore platforms, and later became the Head of HSSE and Community Liaison at the Bacton Gas Terminal, UK. On completion of his assignment in the UK, he returned to Shell-Nigeria, first into the Learning & Development (L&D) Function, where he was involved in staff competence assurance, followed by assignments in HSSE. He became Head of Technical Safety in SNEPCo, followed by a role as Head of Safety for the Upstream Africa Region and SNEPCo.
He is a composite Fire Safety Engineering expert, with excellent skills in HSSE Assurance, Process Safety, Risk Management, Management System, and Hearts & Minds amongst others. He is a much sought after HSSE expert, having consulted for several oil/gas companies in Africa and the Middle East, including Panafric Oil Services, PDO-Oman, Safety Engineering & Fire Consultants Ltd,
Dehinde Oguntoyinbo is the Business Development Director for the organisation, comprising Hilltop Engineering Systems Ltd Kenya and Hilltop Lighting Systems Nigeria.
He has an MSc degree in Sociology, and over twenty four (24) years experience in the IT and Energy industry, with specialist skills in communications management, marketing and HR. Between 1987 and 2001, Dehinde worked for JKK, a leading Nigerian computer company, where he became General Manager (Marketing). Between 2001 and 2003, he was the COO of Sagem/Officetron Ltd, a Telecommunications company, and he subsequently became Chief Executive for Ziklagsis, an energy company, between 2005 and 2009. In addition to his role in Hilltop Engineering/Lighting Systems, Dehinde is also the Managing Director of AVC Ltd, a Nigerian Energy/IT company that is involved in the deployment/installation of energy meters in the electricity industry.
